pub fn new(client_name: String, client_version: String) -> Arc<Self>

Creates a new DefaultPlatform.

This function spawns threads in order to execute the background tasks that will later be spawned.

Must be passed as “client name” and “client version” that are used in various places such as to answer some JSON-RPC requests. Passing env!("CARGO_PKG_NAME") and env!("CARGO_PKG_VERSION") is typically very reasonable.

§Panic

Panics if it wasn’t possible to spawn background threads.
